Viari made a humble but determined beginning in 1988. The vision was clear: To create world-class leather products for the best brands in the world.

Viari was founded by Arijeet Purkayastha and his wife Vidhu. While Viari was family founded, the day to day functioning, under Arijeet’s watchful eye, is completely managed by a strong team of industry professionals with in-depth expertise and core competencies.

Milestones

Founded by a young team primarily as a Small Leather Goods manufacturer.

1988

Ventured into manufacturing of handbags for both men and women.

1990

Installed a casual belt manufacturing plant for LEVI’s which continues to service the same client globally even after two decades.

2000

Reorganized the production systems to meet international trends, productivity and quality standards by hiring a reputed industrial Engineer from overseas.

2015

Entered the Luxury segment and serviced the French brand Chloe’ eversince.

2017

Expansion project underway to increase production floor space to 100,000 sqft.

Seasoned industry professional of three decades and with Viari for 10 years now. Coordinates with clients from product conceptualization through sampling until sales and everything in between until the styles are ready to roll into our mass production lines.

Has been with Viari for over 20 years. He relishes the toughest products to make - they are his learning on the job. He has taken client designs from paper to life, and if customer testimonials are to be believed, Anandan is nothing short of a master craftsman every step of the way.

Kalpana

Manager – Accounts and Finance

A qualified and thorough professional with in-depth working experience of all accounting softwares that are in place at Viari. She holds the accounting and financial reigns of the company and handles these extremely critical areas with as much care and planning as she would run her own home.

Asst. Manager–Human Resources

Our industry being quite labour intensive and with a work force that is majorly skewed towards women employees, empathy, patience and mentoring plays a key part to keep the work force happy and motivated. Abarna and her team ensures that Viari has a smiling workforce every single day.

Vijayan

Manager–Export & Import Logistics

In an industry that depends quite heavily on a global supply chain, the logistics can sometimes become a nightmare if not handled with utmost care. Vijayan ensures that the rest of the teams can plan their operations with the knowledge that logistically, as far as inbound and outbound logistics are concerned, they are in competent hands.

A difficult to satisfy guy and rightly so. With the keenest eye for detail Rajesh ensures that no product rolls out of our factories until he and the customer is fully satisfied – An All season, All Customer favourite.

Operations and Supply Chain Manager

Today’s top notch products entail diligent sourcing from all across the globe and to make this happen day in and day out supply chain management is the key. Sathish along with his team ensures that there is never an idle line for want of materials. A dyed in the wool process person.
